Mental Health Skill-Building

Services include monitoring and education regarding mental health, nutrition, and physical condition. Increase knowledge and connections with community resources. Reinforcement and training of functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual’s health and safety. Skill addressed:

  • Enhancement of social and interpersonal skills

Employment and Community Transportation

Services offered to enable individuals to gain access to waiver and other community services or events, activities and resources, including transportation to employment or volunteer sites, homes of family and friends, civic organizations or social clubs, public meetings or other civic activities and spiritual activities or events as specified by the services plan and when no other means of access is available. This service is offered in addition to medical transportation.

Community Engagement

Asam 2.1 Substance Abuse

Intensive outpatient services (ASAM Level 2.1) provide group based, non-residential, intensive, structured interventions consisting primarily of counseling and education about substance related and co-occurring mental health problems. The program will last six consecutive weeks. Services are goal-oriented
interactions with the individual or in group/family settings. This community-based service allows the individual to apply skills in “real world” environments.

Therapeutic Day Treatment

Therapeutic Day Treatment (TDT) provides medically necessary, individualized, and structured therapeutic interventions to youth with mental, emotional, or behavioral illnesses as evidenced by diagnoses that support and are consistent with the TDT service and whose symptoms are causing significant functional impairments in major life activities such that they need the structured treatment interventions offered by TDT. TDT treatment interventions are provided during the school day or to supplement the school day or year. The program must operate a minimum of two hours per day and may offer flexible program hours (e.g., school based, after school, or during the summer). A minimum of two or more therapeutic activities shall occur per day. This may include individual or group therapeutic interventions and activities.
